We've been traveling now for 5 months and seen/done A LOT. We've been to Morocco and Egypt for a month each, spent 2 weeks in Cape Town and just completed a 52 day camping trip through South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and Botswana. We are very excited about beds and hot water 😜
Our social media channel is far more delayed than intended, as I've taken over 7,000 pics so far (and they definitely are not all good), so it will take me minute to go through them. Stay tuned for things to catch up as we keep posting daily
We have been working on a plan since 2018 to do some extended travel. Originally slated to leave in June 2021 (stupid covid) it looks promising for a departure in Q1 of 2022. So what’s the plan? Originally, we looked at 1 year of travel, but having a long list of countries we want to see – and not wanting to rush – we’ve adjusted that a bit. The current plan is roughly 20 countries, over 2 years, staying for 4 to 6 weeks per country. We are flexible in the sense that we want to see/do it all. Because of our family’s love of all living creatures, the countries and timing are primarily driven by what animals we can see. Ie. Elephants in South Africa, koala bears in Australia, whale sharks in Fiji, Komodo dragons in Indonesia, etc.
