Ongongo Waterfall Campground, Namibia
Ongongo Waterfall Campground, located near the towns of Palmwag and Sesfontein, is the perfect place to stop to break up the journey between the Skeleton Coast and Etosha National Park.
We stayed in a luxury campsite at Ongongo Waterfall Campground, which included a private open-air bathroom and shower. The sites were spaced nicely, with brick barriers on either side and large leafy trees providing shade and privacy. The fire pit was located next to the covered patio. No power on-site. No Wi-Fi.

This was the first campground where the hot water came from a fire source. Lucky for us, Derek is a skilled fire builder!

A short walk along the stream will take you to a cool, clear pool. Perfect for swimming or dipping your feet in after a long drive. Kids will love jumping off the rocks into the deep water. Grab some drinks and head down for a refreshing afternoon.

Back at camp, Mason befriended a stray dog, which he named Spot, who didn’t leave his side for most of the evening.
